Flaviar Checkout POS Event Checklist
Flaviar Checkout POS Event Checklist
Updated over a week ago

This article is for anyone that's already received & registered their Flaviar Checkout POS. Once registered, and prior to your event, we recommend reviewing this article to ensure a smooth event.

Before the event...

  1. Charge your reader

    1. Charge the card reader using the cable that came in the box. With the screen facing you, the charge port is on the right.

  2. Charge your tablet

  3. Confirm there will be reliable WiFi at the event or secure a reliable hotspot.

Check your products

  1. Go to pos.getbarcart.com and make sure your product listing is accurate (E.g. a product that should be out of stock is listed and vice versa.)

  2. Make sure your pictures are presentable and aligned (if not, please let us know at [email protected] at least one full business day before your event in order to address this in time.)

Shipping Promos

If you would like to add any shipping promos for your POS event, please send the request to [email protected] 1-2 business days before your event.

Setting up at the event...

  1. Connect your reader to WiFi

  2. Connect your tablet to WiFi

  3. On your tablet, open a browser and login at app.getbarcart.com/login/

  4. In the same browser/app, but on a different tab, go to pos.getbarcart.com (You should see your name in the lop right corner and your products listed on the screen)

  5. Click on the reader icon in the top right corner (next to your name)

  6. Select your reader

Understand the order flow...

  1. When you're ready to place an order with your customer, select the item(s) they wish to purchase and it will open up a checkout window on the right side of the screen

  2. All the customer needs to do is enter their phone number and zip code - This will determine the retailer routing, taxes, and shipping fee

  3. Within a few seconds of clicking on 'proceed with payment' - the credit card reader will display the order total. From there, the customer can tap their credit card or smart device to pay.

  4. Upon payment, they’ll receive a text message asking them to complete their transaction by entering their full shipping address. Orders will remain in a temporary status until the customer completes this step, at which point they’ll be charged and the order will be assigned to a retailer.

If you run into issues using or connecting your POS reader, please read more about troubleshooting here: Troubleshooting your POS.
