Due to Shopify limitations, this feature is only available for brands with a Shopify Plus store.

Enhancing your Shopify store with upsell apps can significantly boost your sales and improve the customer shopping experience. This guide provides detailed steps on how to implement upsell apps on your Shopify store.

1. Choose the Right Upsell App

First, select an upsell app that suits your store's needs. Below is a list of apps we've tested for compatibility with our platform. If you'd like to use a different app, please let us know before going live so can test that app for compatibility as well!

You are responsible for the subscription and any other fees associated with the use of these apps.

2. Install the Upsell App

  1. Log in to Your Shopify Admin Panel:

    • Go to your Shopify admin page and log in with your credentials.

  2. Visit the Shopify App Store:

    • Navigate to the Shopify App Store and search for the upsell app you want to install.

  3. Select and Install the App:

    • Click on the app you have chosen, then click "Add app" on the app page. Follow the prompts to install the app on your store. If you run into any permissions issues while trying to download the app, please email us at [email protected] right away.

3. Configure the Upsell App

Once the app is installed, you need to configure it to match your store’s requirements. If you need help setting up your first upsell offer, please let us know!

  1. Access the App Settings:

    • In your Shopify admin panel, go to the "Apps" section and select the upsell app you installed.

  2. Set Up Offers:

    • Create your upsell offers. This may include:

      • Selecting products to upsell or cross-sell

      • Defining the trigger conditions (e.g., when a customer adds a specific product to their cart)

      • Customizing the offer appearance (e.g., layout, text, and design)

  3. Test Your Offers:

    • Before going live, test your upsell offers to ensure they appear correctly and function as expected. Add the trigger products to your cart and see if the upsell offers are displayed appropriately.

4. Monitor and Optimize

After implementing the upsell app, regularly monitor its performance and make adjustments as needed. Please note not all Upsell apps offer analytics.

  1. Analyze Performance:

    • Use the app’s analytics tools to track metrics such as conversion rates, average order value, and revenue generated from upsell offers.

  2. Make Adjustments:

    • Based on the performance data, tweak your upsell offers to optimize results. This might include changing the products offered, adjusting the pricing, or modifying the presentation.

  3. Keep Offers Fresh:

    • Periodically update your upsell offers to keep them relevant and enticing for your customers. Consider seasonal promotions, new product launches, or inventory changes.
